Sunburst Shutters was established in the early '70s in Phoenix, AZ, by people who thought they could make a better shutter than any other in the US.

In the '70s, draperies and blinds were the common window treatments in most homes. That’s when Sunburst Shutters showed clients a longer lasting and energy-efficient window treatment: plantation shutters. 

Originally, the company offered wood shutters solely. But it became evident fast that Sunburst should craft the ultimate shutter – one that provides superior energy efficiency, and looks as charming 20 years from now as the day you had it installed. After much research, sampling, and testing, Sunburst announced the creation of Polywood Shutters. 

Once Sunburst offered the best shutters in the industry, they grew extensively, opening locations across America. In 2008, Sunburst Shutters expanded its offerings into blinds, shades, draperies, and window film – and changed its name to Sunburst Shutters & Window Fashions.
