Green Manufacturing And Recycled Shutters In Seattle

Polywood® shutters are not only a fully recyclable shutter, but they are also made of up to 20% recycled Polywood content. No other shutter company in Seattle – or even in America – does that.

Sunburst supports green products, designs, and buildings. We reuse our materials whenever possible. We recycle water that cools down items when they come out of ovens. We reuse packaging supplies. We reuse shutter pieces – or regrind them and turn them into new shutters. We end up recycling hundreds of tons of materials each year.

When we package our window treatments to be transported to your residence for installation, we place reusable corner pieces on the louvers’ edges and use as little cardboard as possible to package the shutters.

Non-Toxic Paint Finish For Shutters

Our interior shutters use paints that are environmentally safe and hypoallergenic. During our manufacturing process, our paints don’t emit fumes. When we say our paints are safe, we mean it.

Polywood Shutters don’t emit harmful gasses – so you and your household can relax and savor your window treatments.

The Only Shutter Recycling Program in Seattle, Washington

If you ever want to switch out your window treatment styles, we offer a shutter recycling program in Seattle to keep Polywood shutters out of landfills. All you have to do is take down the shutters at your own expense, and call our store manager at 360-464-2277 to schedule a pick-up. We will pick up your shutters and reuse some of their materials in future Polywood shutters. This is the case for Polywood shutters only—we don’t recycle other shutter brands.

This way, it’s easy to recycle Polywood shutters. And, together, we’re assisting in keeping the environment green in Seattle.
